We planned a new route for a larger gas supply from the meter to the building. This meant using groundworks teams to dig and create a trench for the correct depth allowing for gas pipe to travel. This underground gas supply was electrofusion welded. We then took the pipe from ground to high level, arc welding all the new steel pipework to keep within regulations. 

The pipework was completed when a successful strength test was undertaken followed by tightness testing and purging. 

This was all undertake in the Easter break to reduce disruption for the students and staff.
